Thanks for reading about me. Everyone knows the About page is one of the most fun to view.
I am a military spouse of 20 years, have an affection for real estate writing, and anything home decorating related.

I am a native Michigander, but a move to Georgia broadened my southern horizons so much that I went to Charleston, South Carolina, to attend college. It’s there that I met my husband and where he joined the Army.

For years, I have thoroughly enjoyed helping military friends find the neighborhoods and homes they want to settle in. This guidance seems to be especially helpful in the areas surrounding Washington, D.C. (Fort Belvoir, Pentagon, JB Anacostia Bolling, and JB Myer Henderson Hall)

I know Alexandria very well. Did you know there are two Alexandrias? Yes, the City of Alexandria and Alexandria, Fairfax County. This a huge consideration in choosing the right home!

During the day, you’ll find me working at home as a freelance writer and keeping my eye on the local real estate options while I walk my golden retriever. At night, some sort of home show is probably on the TV.

I travel as much as possible with my husband and daughter, and just as often with friends. Our military life has infected me with a severe case of wanderlust.
