Hi everyone, Let me tell you a little about myself. My husband and I have been married for 35 years, 31 of those he spent in boots. He retired in 2018, and we've made the DMV (short for District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia...You'll hear this expression a lot) home. I remember in 2013 when we first PCS'ed to the area I couldn't wait to leave; too many people, and too much traffic. It's funny how your attitude can change after a few years, however. As time went by, I learned to love the DMV. It's rich in history and as a former government teacher, there's no place better place to be stationed. There is so much to do here, I still have yet to see everything.
As a couple, we have 7 PCS moves under our belt and 2 hardship tours. So it's safe to say I have some experience with military life. I have two grown sons, a Great DaneBull named Loki and a feisty 14-year-old Calico cat named Spots.
