I am a wife of a Naval aviator and mom to two kids, ages 11 and 8. We have spent more than 15 years on and off in the Washington D.C. area. Our family calls Vienna, Virginia home, and we love the sense of community we have living in this nook of the D.C. metro area. Originally from a small town in Kansas, Virginia has become my adopted home and when not helping military families I am an analyst with the federal government.
I have experience purchasing a home, surviving a very bad remodel and then remodeling some more, renting our home, and assessing home locations to fit the needs of military families. If anything has prepared me for the Scout role, it is my understanding that the location of a home can make or break your experience in an area, which is particularly important in the D.C. metro area.
